Note: This adds a new page-number text layer; it does not detect or remove numbers already printed on the PDF. Password-protected or malformed PDFs may not load. Font support uses standard PDF fonts, so avoid unusual Unicode characters in custom labels.

Frequently asked questions
How can I add page numbers to a PDF online?
Select your PDF, set the page range and placement options, then click Add page numbers. Download the result and check the first and last numbered pages.
Can I start numbering from a different number?
Yes. Enter the desired value in First number. The tool applies that number to the first selected page and increments on each subsequent selected page.
Can I number only some PDF pages?
Yes. Set From page and To page to the range you want to number. Pages outside that range remain unchanged.
Can I put page numbers at the top or bottom?
Yes. Select a top or bottom position and left, center, or right alignment. Facing pages alternates left and right for left/right positions, which can help with book-style documents.
Will this remove existing page numbers?
No. It draws new numbers over the existing PDF content. If the original document already has printed numbers, inspect the result to make sure there are no duplicates or overlaps.
